Volunteer Teaching Assistants
Donation for your placement from just $500 for 2 weeks accommodation included
If you love kids and are interested in education then why not join our teaching and child care volunteering project. We work with a number of schools across Siem Reap all of whom need volunteers to support and work alongside their local teams.
Our focus is on teaching English and computing and our teaching volunteers help us in every aspect of the school working alongside our local teams. Englishand computing skills are required for most jobs in Cambodia, however many children do not have the opportunity to learn these subjects at state school so that's where we come in.
Volunteers are required to invest some time each day preparing lessons for their next class and the longer a volunteer participates on this project, the more responsibility they will be given although you will always work alongside a member of our Khmer team.
As volunteers work with the support of the local team and placement staff, they do not need to be qualified or experienced teachers to participate although we do love having teachers join us.
Donation for your placement
- 2 weeks including accommodation = $500 USA
- 4 weeks including accommodation = $800 USA
- 8 weeks including accommodation = $1200 USA
Our school nursery assistants work alongside our Khmer team with our little ones (under 6). You'll be teaching in class with a focus on learning the basics of the English language alongside lots of fun activities.
Its a really fun place to be as our little ones love learning playing and spending time with our volunteers.
You will be arranging activities such as painting, drawing, origami, singing, dancing and sports activities, as well as that we expect all our nursery children to brush their teeth and we serve them with a healthy mid morning snack of fruit, which you'll help prepare and on occasion you'll need to go to the market to buy the supplies.
As volunteers work with the support of the local team and placement staff, they do not need to be qualified or experienced in working in a nursery / care setting, you just need to come with an open mind a big smile and lots of energy.
Social Media Intern
Accommodation will be paid for by us
Interns will need to pay for their own flight + day to day living costs plus commit to a minimum of 3 months with us
We're looking for an intern who can spend at least 3 months with us in Cambodia to support and develop our approach to social media, video blogging and story telling.
You don't need to be an experienced marketeer what we really need is someone who has a real passion for how we can use technology to support our projects and help spread the word.
